Offshore BOP Service Technician

Summary

The Offshore BOP Service Technician specializes in preventative, predictive and repair maintenance for all Drill Through Equipment drilling rig operations. Examples include blowout preventers, riser, diverters, motion compensation, choke manifolds, spools, adapters, flanges, piping and associated controls for drilling, work-over, high pressure work-over, blowout and ultra-deepwater and horizontal drilling operations.

Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

		Assist in all facets of equipment maintenance, preparation testing and appearance.
		Rigging equipment and operating hydraulic equipment.
		Daily tasks include responding to client needs.
		All employees are expected to be proactive in the client's safety and environmental program.
		Compliance responsiblities include equipment inspections, documentation and training requirements.
		Will be expected to make decisions about repairs and meet goals with little outside supervision.

A winning candidate will possess:

		5+ years of work in a Subsea Engineer position or a mechanical preventative or predictive maintenance position for all drill through equipment - instrumentation and control experience is a plus.
		A knowledge of pressure as it applies to an offshore environment working with well heads.
		Solid experience in installation, commissioning, testing, problem solving, repair, etc. of all offshore/drilling rig equipment.
		Computer skills, specifically the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel and ability to learn to use proprietary databases.
		Excellent verbal, written communication and computer skills.
		Must possess a valid driver's license.
		Must be able to work without direct supervision to accomplish goals and meet schedules.
		Ability to work in hot, cold or inclement climate conditions (out-door conditions).
		Travel to job sites domestically and internationally, as well as onshore and offshore clients and projects.
		Ability to pass physical examination and be drug free.

This position is an outside service role and daily office visits are not required.
