In an email dated Tuesday, 10 January 2006, regarding the Noble Therald Martin inspection, Chris Carbaugh with Chevron states:

The WEST Surveyor put together a very nice report. When on the Noble Therald Martin he was an asset. I particularly like your review of the Gilmore Shuttle valves. Its an interesting history. At one time I had one of each type of shuttle in all applicable sizes on my desk. Its amazing that so few people know so little of the story, even in the Subsea world.
